Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Taylor & Francis Group.
Marketing Executive
the whole thing took over a month from when I applied to get the results, and as far as I know, there were 3 rounds: a video pre-screening, then an online interview, and finally a face-to-face.
- Tell me why you applied for this role and why you feel you're a good fit.
- What makes you suitable for this position and why did you choose to apply?
Marketing Assistant
Got the interview invite 5 days after the application deadline, and interviewed 2 days later. Heard back about a week after that. The interview was totally competency-based, including a task prioritization exercise that I felt just showed I didn't have prior experience in the industry and seemed to favor those who did.
- Can you tell me about a time you had to process a lot of information and make a decision?
- Describe a situation where you had to work under a tight deadline.
- Give an example of a time you dealt with a disgruntled customer.
Marketing Executive
The process was fair and focused on competencies. They make sure all candidates are asked the same questions for a fair comparison. Make sure you research the company and prepare examples of past accomplishments beforehand. Try to answer using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Results), and don't forget to highlight the results!
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated a particular competency and achieved a specific outcome?
