It was a long process with some warning signs that became more obvious as things went on. The internal recruiter seemed out of sync, not remembering past chats, and just giving a standard pitch I could have done better. The marketing panel was awkward and defensive. They recorded the call, only a couple people talked, and the questions felt rehearsed and general. Later, they said I wasn't specific enough, but nobody asked any detailed operational questions. If they wanted that, they should have used a case study. There's also a lack of strategic direction. Growth has been organic through referrals and partners, but there's no clear future plan. The CRO, who's in charge of marketing, was hard to get a hold of and didn't give straight answers. I also heard the CPO co-founder is heavily involved in marketing, which means the role isn't as independent as it seems. Looking back, I should have bowed out earlier. If you're looking at a leadership role here, be prepared for a top-down environment, a disorganized process, and not a lot of openness.

I reached out to taxdome's recruitment email since the one in the job description was outdated. Anna got back to me and I answered her questions, including my salary expectations. She initially said it was too high, but then a day later, she emailed again saying the salary was okay and sent a link to schedule the interview. The next day, the interview was canceled because the position was already filled. It really seems like their HR team is out of sync or not well-informed.

I interviewed for a Marketing role at TaxDome and it was a really good experience. They kept me in the loop and communicated well throughout. Everyone was on time and respectful. The interviewers seemed really into their jobs and what TaxDome is trying to do. It felt like a place that cares about its people and wants them to grow. The whole thing was put together nicely, the people were great, and the company seemed like a fun and welcoming place to be. Even though I turned down the offer, I was super impressed with how they ran the interviews.

Got contacted via LinkedIn and things seemed good initially. But on the interview day, it was a mess. The vibe was hostile which made me nervous and unable to perform at my best. They didn’t share any new info about the job beyond the description, and when I tried asking about the role or my fit, they kept saying those questions were for the hiring manager. This made the screening interview feel pointless. I ended up not knowing if my skills matched what they needed. Asking about the hiring timeline got a really rude response like "If we are interviewing, we need it now, not in December." which felt dismissive of a common hiring practice. The lack of clarity and unprofessionalism was disappointing, especially from a company that initially looked promising. Hope they improve their candidate experience.
