The interview process was similar to another one I've seen posted. I spoke with a few team members and had more interviews scheduled, but then the recruiter emailed to say they had someone else accept the offer and they wouldn't be moving forward with me. It seems like their approach is to keep interviewing until someone accepts an offer. I'd be cautious about getting too invested in their process.

The interview process at TaxBit involved several interviews with people from various departments. I made it through all the final stages, but the process took a very long time and felt like it got more disorganized and unclear as it went on. For example, even though the job was for a Tax Manager, I had an interview with someone from marketing where the questions were about marketing, not about the Tax Manager role at all. Communication became inconsistent, with little follow-up or feedback, so I wasn't sure what was happening next. In the end, I was told the position was being put on hold indefinitely, which would have been good to know from the start. While the initial communication was okay, my experience was similar to many negative reviews on Glassdoor. The company's mission regarding crypto regulation is interesting, but the unprofessional hiring process made me doubt their organizational culture. I hope they fix these things for future candidates.

So I interviewed for a Business Developer role at TaxBit, and the whole thing took about two weeks and had four rounds. The first call and the next two interviews were pretty standard, you know, just talking about my background and sales/biz dev stuff. But the last interview was weird. The guy seemed totally checked out, kept typing and interrupting me, asking the same questions over again. He ended it 15 minutes early. I tried to ask about company culture and how they work, but he just gave short, uninterested answers. It was obvious he just wanted to get it over with. Super cold and unprofessional goodbye. TaxBit has a good rep, but this interview process makes me wonder about how they hire people.

It began with a recruiter chat, followed by a non-technical phone screen with an engineer where they asked about my past work experience. The final round had three parts: a system design conversation, a coding challenge that was surprisingly easy, and a behavioral interview that felt a bit chaotic but was essentially more questions about past work experience, similar to the first phone screen.
