Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tata Communications.
Solution Architect
It was a two-round interview process. The first round was with the hiring manager, and the second was with a team member. We had a general discussion about my work experience and skills, and also about the new role. The role requires experience in solution design, presentation, and proposal building.
- Can you walk me through your previous work experiences?
- Describe your experience in solution design.
- Can you discuss your presentation skills?
Solution Architect
Had an HR interview with general questions about my background and what I'm looking for. Then a technical interview covering networking, SD-WAN, voice, contact center, security, and cloud topics. Finally, interviewed with a VP, which included both technical and management-related questions.
- Tell me about your experience and expectations.
- Can you discuss your approach to network architecture?
- How would you architect an SD-WAN solution?
Solutions Architect
It was a phone interview first, then a face-to-face. The whole thing from sending my resume to getting the offer took about 45 days. I was pretty lucky to get a good hiring manager. My advice: often, the interviewer might not know as much about a specific question as you do, but they're really trying to understand how you think. Show that you're interested and eager to learn, and it really helps.
