I applied through campus (NIT). After filling the application in hireclap, first they published a list for the online assessment, then a personal interview which is a combined Technical and HR round. For the online assessment, I recommend you to go through past year minimum 10 years Gate Chemical Engineering question papers.

So, my interview was just after lunch, and it ended up being super long and really tiring. There were two people, who were like subject experts. One of them grilled me on stuff totally outside my internship, while the other asked more basic questions. They covered pretty much all the subjects.
- Could you explain the reflex ratio?
- What is the difference between bubble point and dew point?
- Can you define MSDS?
Graduate Engineer Trainee
The whole on-campus hiring process was smooth with maintained transparency between company HR team & candidates. Schedules were strictly adhered to and informed well before-hand on time. It consisted of 2 rounds: Round-1: Online Assessment (both aptitude & domain-based); 80questions in 90minutes Round-2: Online Interview (average 20-25minutes per head)
- Tell us about yourself and your family.
- Could you explain sustainability and how to enhance it in India? Also, what are renewable energy sources and can you provide some examples?
- What are COD and BOD?
Graduate Engineering Trainee
Since we were in the middle of the covid situation, the interview was conducted online. Before the interview itself, there was an online aptitude and technical test. The questions in those tests were pretty basic and common. The main interview lasted about 25-30 minutes. They asked me fundamental mechanical engineering questions, mostly drawing from my favorite subjects like thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and solid mechanics.
- Can you draw the SFD and BMD for a simply supported beam?
- Please draw the T-s diagram for the Rankine cycle.
