First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Task Force for Global Health.
Systems Administrator
I had a great interview experience, it was about an hour long and the interviewer was really friendly and we had a smooth conversation. But after the interview, the communication was bad. It took weeks to get any updates, and after I reached out many times, I was told they paused the hiring process. That was it. I never heard back or got any official rejection, so I don't know what happened. I know things can get complicated, but better communication would have helped a lot. It's a bummer because I really like the organization.
- What is your motivation for joining the Task Force?
Administrative Assistant
I went through two rounds of panel interviews. The first round was a phone screen, and the second was a virtual interview. The panelists were approachable and the conversation was easy. The whole process felt lengthy and somewhat unclear.
- What skills do you possess that would be especially beneficial for this position?
Technical Monitor
It was pretty laid back. We initially met up for coffee. Then, later in the week, I had an interview with the owner at his office, which felt a bit more high-pressure. But, the manager who had interviewed me before was there for the second interview, and that made things feel a lot more relaxed for me.
- Can you tell me about a time you de-escalated an angry customer and got them to agree with your solution?
Director
Overall good process, but salary negotiations were unfair. After I joined I learned that the allocated salary was higher than the final offer. But by then it was too late. I felt ripped off.
- They claimed they only had x salary in the budget.
