It was a standard hiring process. I first met with HR, and then I met with the rest of the design team. The design and product team members were experienced and knowledgeable. The questions were standard for a design position.

The interview process was pretty long, like 5-6 rounds, and some of the questions they asked didn't even seem to relate to the job. After the last interview, I had to wait for weeks, which felt like a bit of a red flag. If a company needs more than three interviews to decide, it might mean they have a lot of micromanagement and clunky processes that could carry over into the job itself.

I went through a couple of rounds interviewing with senior management, including the Corporate VP of HR. The interviewers were really good at asking the right questions for the job in a relaxed setting. It felt like an important role because they were clearly serious about finding the right person. I really respected the whole team and the company for how professional they were.

It was a great experience. I talked to the VP who was easy to talk to. She was honest and upfront about the climate of the company and answered all my questions. I also had the opportunity to meet with the other members of the team who were also cordial and friendly.
