First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Target Optical.
Manager
It was super easy! They got back to me quickly. The questions were relevant to the job, and they answered all my questions. The whole process from the first call to getting the offer was really fast and smooth.
- In what ways do you encourage your team to collaborate and achieve shared objectives?
Sales Associate
I had a chat with the manager in person, and then they suggested I apply online. After I applied, they emailed me back to set up an interview, which I think was about 10-15 minutes long. I guess that was the next step.
- Can you share an instance where you had to resolve a disagreement with a customer?
Optician
District Manager in NYC and Long Island had contacted me twice within 3 years about an Optician role on two different platforms. First on Linkedin and second on Indeed. The infuriating thing is that the first time he reached out, I informed him that I am not a licensed Optician, than he has yet to respond after 3 years. 2 months ago, he reached out again on a different platform to ask me if I wanted to join as an Optician. Taken aback, I decided not to respond.
- Are you interested in becoming a Licensed Optician at our Long Island store?
Licensed Optician
It was a lengthy interview, lasting over an hour. The manager made it feel like a casual chat rather than a formal interview, keeping it a free-flowing conversation. However, she did have some standard questions she needed to ask.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations to help a customer?
- Describe a situation where you had to manage a disagreement with a colleague who had a different perspective.
