Director of Sales Operations
Applied through LinkedIn and a recruiter got in touch within 7 days. A first phone interview was set up that same week. The next week, I had two more phone interviews with other team members. They made me an offer on the same day as my third interview. So yeah, hired in under a month from applying. Honestly, it was one of the best interview processes I've ever gone through, and I've been through a lot.
- Describe a time you used your SFDC admin skills and sales ops experience to create, document, and implement a complete sales process, from lead intake to revenue/success.
- Tell me about a situation where you had to take broken processes that weren't working and revamp them into a fully trackable process that's easy to train new and existing team members on.
DevOps Engineer
The first interview was a 1-hour technical deep dive with the Director of DevOps, who was quite friendly. The second interview, lasting about 35 minutes, was with the VP of Engineering, focusing on general experience and salary expectations.
- Can you discuss your experience with Kubernetes?
- Tell me about your knowledge of AWS.
- What is your experience with Jenkins?
PHP Developer
A recruiter reached out. I was initially hesitant but responded after a follow-up email. We had a telephone interview, followed by a 4-hour project. After submitting the project, I only received a question asking if I completed it myself and what tools I used. I confirmed that as a Senior software developer, I did the entire project independently. I suspect they might be disorganized, not actively hiring, or seeking free work on a 4-hour project. A lesson learned: refuse any exercise/project over an hour. I plan to publish the project I did for them in case they use my work without credit.
- Can you describe your current job responsibilities?
Implementation Lead
It was a great process with great people. I talked to a mix of people, some doing the same job, and some from senior leadership. It gave me a solid understanding of what the role entails. Overall, it was a really positive experience.
- Tell me about your training background.
- Can you describe your project management experience?
- What's your experience with client relationships?
