The first step was a phone interview where I talked about my experience, projects, and the technologies I've used. I had to explain each project in detail and summarize the information so they could understand how I fit the role. Then I waited to hear back.

Behavioral Technical

This company is horrible. I got an email about a "Test Engineer" role, and they offered me $35/hr for a hybrid position in NJ. That pay is a joke. I looked up the actual role, which was "Lead SDET" with the end client, offering $135-160k yearly plus bonuses. When the title is Lead, bonuses change, and an SDET lead should get at least $70/hr, not $35 with everything included. I called them back and asked if it was a Lead SDET role requiring at least 8 years of experience. They confirmed it was a lead role. I then shared that I found the end client's offer of $65-77/hr plus bonus. I questioned how they could offer only $35/hr for a lead role when the client pays so much more. They hung up on me. Candidates, stay away from these shady, potentially illegal practices. They'll make around $195k from the client for the role and pay you $72.8k, pocketing the rest.

Behavioral

It was an in-person interview where I wasn't told the specific HR role I was interviewing for. The interview lasted an hour and was with a senior person. The interviewer's body language made me feel constantly degraded for not knowing things that were clearly not my priority, especially since I had taken a career break to focus on family. I had prepared for a general HR role, but the interviewer was looking for someone with finance experience, like accounting and invoicing. He expressed a desire for someone who, when a colleague makes a mistake, would quietly take responsibility and resolve the issue instead of blaming the colleague. He indirectly called me dumb when I admitted I didn't know about salary deductions. Throughout the interview, he didn't allow me to voice my opinions or share my perspective. This interview experience was so discouraging and degrading that, in my 8 years of career, I've never been treated so badly. I've worked with difficult bosses before, but this person continuously criticized me. He wished me good luck, implying that only luck could help me find a job.

Behavioral Technical Case

First, there was a phone interview with an HR recruiter where we discussed my background, skills, roles, company info, salary expectations, and start date. Then, I had two Skype interviews with Senior Managers focusing on core recruitment questions, technical knowledge, and scenario-based problems. Finally, I received an offer and started within a week.
