The whole interview process was really long and took ages. There were 5 rounds. After all that, they offered me a job, but then the next day they said they'd already hired someone else. Then, I was told I had to do another interview with a lead from a different team. This lead totally acted like I hadn't already gone through 5 interviews and started grilling me about my resume like he didn't trust the other lead and team. It felt like he was trying to trick me. He was super condescending and rude. I ended up calling the recruiter to say I wasn't interested in working with the company anymore.

It was 5 rounds, mostly hands-on stuff, each focused on a different area. First, they wanted to see how much you knew about your past projects and the tech you used. Then, it was about database design. After that, we dove into Java and Object-Oriented Design principles. The next round covered distributed systems, touching on consistency, availability, and fault tolerance. Finally, they told us about the company culture and we had to show we got it and were interested.

I got contacted by a recruiter from HR for an initial 30 minute phone screening. It was pretty much an intro call where I shared more about myself and they told me more about the company. The call was good, the recruiter was nice. He asked me to email my availability for the next technical interview with an engineer. I emailed my availability and didn't hear back. I sent 2-3 follow-ups but got ghosted. I was really bummed about how Tango Card handled my rejection. I get that the role might have been filled, so maybe that's why they didn't proceed to a technical interview, but I wish they'd at least responded. Felt like a waste of my time and disrespectful.
