First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tambourine.
Account Executive
The first interview was a 15-minute Zoom call. It was odd because I was recorded without them telling me first, and then they just brushed past it without asking for consent. They kept emphasizing how they were trying to improve work-life balance and company culture. They want everyone to work in the office, no remote options. It felt like they were interviewing with strong values but couldn't explain why, which made me think the culture might be toxic. They also mentioned they were combining several job roles, so the position I interviewed for actually involved the duties of two separate jobs. I was really unclear about the actual responsibilities of the role.
- What are your salary expectations?
Employee Success Manager
The interview process was casual and consisted of two in-person interviews: first with the Director of Finance, then with the CEO. The company experienced rapid growth during my tenure.
- What's your experience like with HR functions?
- How's your experience working with people?
Copywriter
I went to a job fair and had my portfolio with me. They reached out a couple of days later and asked me to do a small test project where I had to write some captions for different brands. I got the job offer in less than a week.
- Have you worked in the hospitality industry before?
Senior Associate
This was not a good interview experience. I should have paid attention to Glassdoor reviews. The company's website looks fancy, but it's easy to tell they have issues. Their attitude was nasty and they were hiding information. It felt like the interview was as unprofessional as the company itself. I would not recommend interviewing here. Even though they try to appear professional, they hire non-professionals. The CEO and senior staff are a joke; not professional at all.
