You'll start with a recruiter call that's basically a cultural fit interview. Then there's a technical coding challenge where you'll spend a few hours designing and implementing a solution for something. After that, you'll have a take-home challenge, followed by a technical review of your take-home. Many high-level managers and senior developers reviewed my project. They let me know based off the work I submitted that this company is most likely using people for free work. RED FLAG!!!! They expect you to build a fully functioning production ready service to integrate with their existing software for your 'take home'.

The entire hiring process lasted about five weeks. They sent an email with a straightforward attachment explaining the process. The first two steps with Marija (HR) and Waleed (Tech Lead) were pleasant. However, the 'Meet the Team' session was quite awkward; people were silent for extended periods (10-20 seconds) before asking questions, which I found unusual. The most disappointing part was their complete lack of response to my request for feedback after I invested significant time preparing and completing tasks during my busy work week. It felt disrespectful not to receive any feedback, even a rejection notice, as everyone in the hiring process deserves it. This lack of communication is a major red flag for me.

I had a 30 min chat with HR first. Then there was a tech and coding interview. After that, I had an assignment that took me about 4-6 hours to complete. Then, another tech interview where we discussed the assignment and my solutions. Finally, they made an offer and we negotiated.
