Talent Development Specialist
The interview process went really well overall, and they even offered me the role. However, they later ghosted me, which I found super unprofessional. I had several conversations with them, got to know them, and they told me to reach out anytime and take all the time I needed to review the compensation package. Then, they just disappeared, and didn't return my voicemails or follow-up emails. I'd advise staying away if you want to be treated with dignity and respect throughout the interview process. I think the main issue was my emphasis on work/life balance, as it seems like taking time off is not a priority for them, with accruals taking a long time to accumulate enough time off. They didn't even have the decency to tell me why they went a different direction, whether it was because of me or a company decision. Honestly, I wouldn't have minded if it was me, but they seemed to like me and showed it. It would have been incredibly easy for them to spend 1-2 minutes on the phone to explain, but they didn't. I just don't recommend working for them if this is how they treat a potential future employee, unfortunately.

Talent Development Manager
I had a 30 minute phone screen with the recruiter/hiring manager the second week of January. I sent a thank you note the next day and received a response from her. I was told in-person interviews would begin the first week in February. I sent a polite, follow up email signaling I'm still interested in the job the week before the in-person interviews would start. I've heard nothing back. I've been ghosted.
- Can you describe your experience in talent development?
IT Customer Support
So first, I had a phone screening with Kristin Florian, the IT Customer Support Supervisor. She asked me some general questions, like "What are three things that you think an IT professional should posses?". After that, the second interview was face-to-face at their Houston office in Greenway Plaza. I met with Kristin and Mike Watson, the Information Tech Director. Their main team from Lakewood also joined virtually. They asked more standard questions about my current job duties, my reasons for applying to Tallgrass, and why I'm looking to leave my current position. The third interview was virtual with a Senior VP. He asked me the same questions as the previous interview. Everything went fine, but I noticed his tone change when he realized I have a Master's degree. He mentioned he only has an Associate's. So, just a heads-up, you might have more education than some of the higher-ups if you get the job.

Manager
Had a short 15-minute interview where they asked about my background. The interviewer said it was just an initial pre-screen and that they thought I'd be a good fit, forwarding my resume to the hiring manager. I sent a follow-up email. They replied saying they passed my resume on. I also checked in with the recruiter, who said they'd follow up with the interviewer. I never heard back from either the recruiter or the company. I asked the recruiter twice for an update and was told, "Unfortunately, I don’t have any updates. I’m guessing they are not interested in moving forward."
