First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Talking Rain Beverage Company.
Data Analyst
First, there was a recruiter screen, then an interview with the Hiring Manager. The recruiter asked basic questions to see if I was a good fit, like 'tell me about yourself,' 'why this company and role,' and a few scenario-based questions about how I've handled challenges or hiring in my current role.
- Could you describe how you dealt with a challenge in your previous job?
- Can you tell me about how you've managed hiring challenges in your current position?
Sales Leader
I was initially approached by a recruiter who said she’d be in touch the following week to set up an interview. 6 weeks went by and the recruiter reached out apologetically saying they’d put the search on hold. She then asked if I could interview the next business day during one specific window of time. I wasn’t able to change my schedule on such short notice, but I told her I would be flexible any other day that week. That was 3 weeks ago and the recruiter says they’ve been unable to reach Talking Rain Talent Acquisition. Based on the reviews here, it sounds like a sign of a not so great culture and that I’m better off to steer clear.
- Is it possible for you to meet tomorrow between 1 PM and 2 PM?
Administrative Assistant
The HR assistant was super efficient in scheduling interviews and keeping me updated, plus they answered all my questions fast. Even though I didn't get the job, it was a good experience overall. I met with the payroll admin, a generalist, and the HR manager at different times. Everyone was really nice. They asked pretty standard questions, and some asked the same ones, but they felt 'easy' for an entry-level gig. It felt like they were more interested in my personality than my specific skills.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What interests you in this position?
- What is your understanding of our company?
Manager
Applied online, HR reached out in a couple days. The process was pretty streamlined and standard. First, there was an HR Interview (informational and precise) for 15-30 minutes. Then, a Hiring Manager Interview (conversational/informational/precise) for 60 minutes. After that, an Onsite with 5 Rounds: 2 Managers, 1 Engineer, the Hiring Manager (Director), and then a Peer Director & Engineer. Finally, background check and offer.
- Could you discuss Talking Rain's background?
- Can you tell me about yourself and your background?
- Walk me through your previous experience.
