First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Talis Clinical.
Systems Engineer
I was called in for an interview where they discussed my resume and the training plan. They mentioned other candidates would be arriving at the same time and that the training would involve a group activity.
- How would you handle an impatient customer over the phone?
Director of Implementation
It started with a chill phone chat, then we had two in-person panel interviews. The whole vibe was pretty relaxed, and most of the people I met were cool, though one person out of the group was a bit rude. It's a fast-growing company, and it felt like they were still figuring some things out. Not everyone was on the same page during my interviews.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience?
- Can you describe a specific situation you faced?
- What are your aspirations for the future?
Software Developer
It was pretty straightforward, kind of like demoing a new solution to an end user, but they got to see my code and logic. Then they gave feedback and I answered their questions as best I could.
- Can you explain your choice to not use data binding or MVVM?
- Could you please demo the solution?
Embedded Software Engineer
Got a call from a recruiter to start, then had a 1-hour phone call with the hiring manager where we mostly chatted and they told me about the company. After that, I went in person for an interview with a team of 5 people, which was pretty nice and lasted over an hour. Then I had to do an online skills test for C++ and Advanced C. Later, I went in person again to learn more about the company and meet the hiring manager, CEO, VP of products, VP of Operations, and VP of Regulatory. I got the job offer but turned it down for a better offer elsewhere. The team seemed really passionate and energetic, making it seem like a good place to work.
- Questions about C++ Object-Oriented Programming concepts and algorithms
- Questions based on C Pointers arithmetic and File Read/Write operations
