The interview process quickly destroyed my infatuation with this company. They changed who I interviewed with at the last second twice. I didn't talk to anyone who had been with Takeda for more than a few months, and no one could offer any real insight. Interviewers showed up late, and ended early. There was no transparency regarding next steps or whether or not I'd be hearing back from them. I received an automated rejection email a month later.

Applied for the job and had to make an online account to see my application status. Got an email for a phone interview two weeks later. It had usual resume questions and some STAR questions. A few days after that, I got an email to do a digital interview called HireVue where you record answers once for 5 STAR and other situational questions. The next week, another email asked me to schedule an in-person interview, but there were only a few time slots. The first in-person interview was with the district manager, very conversational and went well. The following week, I got another email to schedule an in-person interview for the next day. This second interview was similar to the first, with situational questions and discussion about the job. I was told the next step would be an interview in Chicago with the regional sales manager, with only 1-2 people interviewing. I called the HR recruiter who did my phone interview, and she said she'd call me right after talking to the district manager. But no call back, instead, a week and a half later, an email asked for 5-25 references to get emailed questionnaires. After my references finished, I called the recruiter again, and she said I was one of the top two or three candidates and she'd call when she heard more. Two weeks went by with no contact from the recruiter. The day after I was told the position needed to be filled, I checked my online account and it said they moved forward with someone else. They didn't even let me know I didn't get the job, even though I was a final candidate. Takeda is a good company, but their communication and interview process were really frustrating. It's tough to move on in a job search with weeks of silence and no updates.

The whole thing took about 8 weeks. First, there was a phone interview, followed by two separate onsite interviews. The last one was a panel interview. I got the offer about 3 weeks after the final interview. The panel interview was pretty long, 2.5 hours with 5 back-to-back 30-minute interviews.
