Since I had a referral, I didn't have to do the initial screening. Instead, I had a virtual LeetCode interview with two developers. Then, the final round was an on-site system design interview. Both rounds were pretty casual and mostly conversational.

The whole interview experience was pretty bad, felt like they didn't know what they wanted for the role. It started with a recruiter reaching out on LinkedIn. After they screened me, I talked to the hiring manager, and they said it went well and to wait for more news. A week later, the recruiter called back, saying my background was good but they were thinking about making the role a Senior Director instead. They said they'd call if a VP role opened up. Two weeks after that, the recruiter called again to apologize, saying leadership decided to go with the VP role after all and asked if I was still interested. I said yes, and the recruiter set up an interview with two other VPs. After that, I heard the feedback was good and a decision was coming soon. Another two weeks went by, and I got an email saying they went with someone else. Then, four weeks later, the recruiter contacted me again about the same role, saying there was a mistake with the last hire and asked if I'd still consider it, mentioning just one more chat with a Sr. LT member. I agreed, and after that meeting, the feedback was positive. I was told the hiring manager was checking with the Sr. LT member. Three weeks after that, I got a final email saying they chose a different direction.

Applied for a role that was later put on hold. Was told I'd be updated when interviews began. The job was posted again months later, but I wasn't informed. Upon inquiry, I learned they were already in the final interview stages. About six months passed, and the job reopened. I reapplied, and a recruiter contacted me to set up a call for the next week. As the call approached, the recruiter had to reschedule. I was sent two links, but on the scheduled day, we were on different links. We rescheduled again. The subsequent call went well, and I was scheduled for an interview with the hiring manager that same day. The interview with the hiring manager was mediocre; they lacked healthcare experience and were new to TAG. I was asked questions outside the job description, and I didn't learn about the team, their challenges, the reason for the opening, or the vision. Overall, it was a poor interview experience, and I didn't perform well. I sent a detailed and thoughtful follow-up email that received no response.

The recruiter reached out on LinkedIn, which I found odd since I applied directly. They conducted three interviews, but then hired someone internally and offered me a similar role in a different department. After four interviews for this second role, I was told I'd meet with the VP of Ops. Instead, I had to facilitate a basic PDF with errors, without knowing who my audience would be. This facilitation exercise, the fifth interview, was four days ago. I received a rejection email today, only after I followed up with the recruiter. This company needs to improve how it handles candidates.
