Technical Presentation

The interview process was fairly straightforward, with three rounds. The company was looking for a versatile individual capable of handling content creation from concept to execution, including high-level motion graphics and video editing, and they needed someone who could deliver quickly. The maximum salary offered was 80k, which is in line with industry standards for turnaround time expectations at other agencies.

Behavioral Technical Other

First, I had a quick phone chat with the HR Coordinator. We talked about my resume, my skills (both soft and hard), and why I wanted to join TAG. The HR Coordinator was super nice and seemed to really enjoy his job. Then, I went to their office in Newport Beach for a longer, in-person interview with the HR Coordinator and the Team Manager. This time, we went over my resume again, talked about my hard skills, and they asked me some fit and behavioral questions. It was about 90 minutes long. Finally, I headed to the La Jolla office, which has an amazing ocean view! I met with the VP and the President separately. Each of those interviews was about 45 minutes. They asked about my hard skills, how I'd fit with the company culture, and some personality and behavioral questions. It felt like they really emphasize company culture and personality there, which is great.

Behavioral Technical Other

The process was awful. First, they use an outside recruiter, so when I arrived, they had no clue who I was or the position I applied for. Then, after interviewing with a manager, someone else came in and asked me the exact same questions. It felt disorganized having back-to-back interviews with the same questions. They promised to send a job description, but never did, even though I interviewed for two different positions. They never reached out again. Their test was poorly written, making the fill-in-the-blanks subjective. Even with a good interview and feeling confident about the test, I never heard back, not even to be told I wasn't hired. What a waste of time.

Behavioral Case Presentation
