We had a first round where I talked with two senior traders. We did a quick intro and discussed my previous experience in the finance/business industry. They mentioned that their trainees have an amazing track record before establishing their trading accounts, and they provide a solid course before you get into the actual trading world.

The interview process involves taking the Series 57, a FINRA security license, which is quite time-consuming. I later discovered that other companies don't require this license, making it seem like a waste of time and money with no real benefit. They offered minimal help to pass the exam, leaving me to figure it out through trial and error. Passing it felt like a major accomplishment, but it turned out to be a distraction from what was truly needed to succeed in this competitive business. This experience was a wake-up call about how things can go terribly wrong. You're trying to make money in the market, but ironically, you become the profit target. The longer you stay, the less money you'll likely make. My advice is to steer clear. If you're already caught in this situation and still believe it can work, be prepared with a backup income or set a strict six-month timeline. You'll be responsible for managing your own time, and it's easy for time to pass without any positive results. Honestly, I don't see any advantage over just opening a retail brokerage account. Don't expect to work full-time initially just to study for the Series 57 exam. It's better to study for and pass the exam on evenings and weekends while you have another job. If you're unemployed, don't bother applying here. Find a paying job first, and then consider talking to them.

After submitting my cover letter and resume, I was contacted via email. I went to their New York office for the interview. Back in 2012, the place was bustling. It's less so now. The interview was straightforward, as long as you know your stuff. They can tell if you're being disingenuous because the company is built on it. About a week later, I received an offer and relocated. There were a lot of Finra-related checks and various other procedures involved.
