The interview process was pretty simple. A couple of interview rounds happened. The first was with two senior engineers, and the second was with a hiring manager. Even though I felt I did well and got some good feedback, I didn't make it past the first round. One interviewer seemed to really vibe with my answers, and we had a good back-and-forth. But the other one was tough. He asked questions that felt like they had a specific answer in mind, and when I didn't hit it right away, I think I lost some points. I eventually gave him the answer he wanted, but it didn't seem to help. The interview was very technical until the last question. The second interviewer, who wasn't impressed, completely switched from deep technical questions to a behavioral one where I didn't have a perfect answer. I think that sealed the deal. The recruiter was also not great. Their communication was poor, especially after the first interview. I didn't even get a basic update on my application. Both interviewers and the recruiter could have handled things better.

I had a phone interview where they asked basic questions about programming and my work history. This was followed by a Zoom interview that was more technical. They wanted me to discuss a project I'd worked on, including the design choices and technologies used.

It was a really engaging interview with a focus on technical skills. The process involved several steps and a meeting with the head of the division, who was super friendly and seemed genuinely interested in talking. We chatted about my academic background and professional experience, and how those align with the job requirements. They also asked about my hobbies and interests outside of work.
