First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at T-Mobile.
Sales Associate
It was a quick and easy phone call. First, I spoke with the TD and current owner of the system. We discussed the current situation and how I would improve it. Then, I had a chat with the Director of HR and the President. We talked about values, culture, and my personality. They also asked about my salary expectations, and I told them my dream number.
- Would you be comfortable selling smartphones?
Sales Associate
They didn't really say what they were looking for and were really pushing to hire women, and the whole point is not to check all the boxes. I only asked for Sundays off, and they said they specifically needed me for those days. However, there was no indication in the application that they would specify this; otherwise, I wouldn't have applied. So, needless to say, I didn't get the job because I wasn't willing to compromise. I mean, if none of that matters to you, then I'm sure you can get the job.
- Could you start by telling me a little bit about yourself?
Sales Associate
The first step was a phone screening which was pretty basic. They just wanted to check my background, when I could start, and if I was really interested in the job. They asked about my degree, how many years of experience I have, and for some examples, but nothing too technical. After that, the recruiter helped me schedule the onsite interview, which will include a meeting with someone else at their office.
- Can you introduce yourself and walk me through your resume?
- Could you elaborate on your resume?
