Project Manager
Regarding the SystemTec process itself, it was quite straightforward. Unlike other recruiters who leave you to handle the paperwork, SystemTec recruiters actually go over your experience with you over the phone and fill out your experience matrix, and so on. It's quite impressive. If they don't think you're a strong candidate, they'll let you know immediately. You do need to demonstrate that you're a good fit, so if you pass their initial screening, there's a high probability you'll get an interview.
- Can you tell me about your experience in specific domains?
QA Test Analyst
The initial contact was via email after they found my resume on Monster.com. I was in Arizona at the time. After some back and forth emails, we had a few phone calls. This included a phone interview with the QA Team at the client site.
- Were there any unexpected programming questions related to COBOL?
SAS Analyst
So I applied for this gig and got an email from a recruiter to chat. We talked about the job and what skills they were looking for. Then, I had a second call where I went over my resume more, and another recruiter joined and asked more detailed questions. They totally knew what we'd already discussed, which was cool. It's obvious they work together to find good people for the job, and also find good jobs for people. After they figured out what I needed, they sent my resume to the company. They kept me updated on how it was going. But before the company I applied to could even call me, I got a job offer from somewhere else and took it. I didn't end up working with them, but I'd totally recommend Systemtec; they're great and really focus on helping you find the right career move.
- Could you discuss your experience with SAS and your comfort level in performing analysis using SAS?
