Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc..
Intern
The interview was with three team members and felt like a chat. It was engaging and driven by discussion, which let me talk about my experiences and learn about the team's work and what they expect. This format helped me show how my background fits with SPA’s mission and the job's duties.
- Can you tell me about your background and why you think you'd be a good fit for this role?
Intern
Got a call from the recruiter about a programming job where I'd build a specific tool for analysts. They said it'd be technical, but it ended up being mostly behavioral questions in both the phone chat and the in-person interview. You gotta be confident when you talk. The technical parts were super easy, not much prep needed because the tool is pretty basic.
- How would you transfer values from a chart to a table?
- What's a trickier way to ensure the chart-to-table data transfer was accurate?
Intern
I had a few phone interviews, one with the Division leader, another with the PM, and two with systems engineers. It was pretty straightforward overall. They mostly talked about the role and my past experience. Not many tough or technical questions came up.
- Could you tell me about your resume and experience?
