Management Consultant
The interview process is noted as being slow, tedious, and repetitive, with a focus on assessing cultural fit. This involves answering the same questions multiple times with different interviewers. Interviews typically occur in informal settings like bars or restaurants and last about an hour. A key aspect they emphasize is understanding the role's focus on business development. They explicitly stated that client feedback is not relevant for promotions, and career advancement depends on bringing in new clients through personal contacts or identifying new business opportunities with existing clients. The company culture is characterized by this focus. It's also important to note that salary is performance-based, with income impacted if you are not actively assigned to a project (on the bench). The interviews will review your CV to determine your ability to work independently, identify business development opportunities, and secure new clients, as this is the core of the job.
- How would you leverage your existing network to discover new projects and opportunities?
- Can you share the most significant failure and success you've experienced in your career?
Business Consultant
they reached out on linkedin multiple times then set up an interview without any background or JD. Compensation was asked before even knowing any details about the role except that the title was 'business consultant'. Very unprofessional and a waste of my time blocking out my calendar. Agree with the interview scam mentioned previously.
- What are your salary expectations?
- Do you require visa sponsorship?
Business Consultant
I sent in my application online via a LinkedIn ad on January 24th. On February 5th, I received an email to schedule a phone interview. The initial phone interview took place on February 9th and lasted for 45 minutes. This was a screening interview conducted by an HR consultant. I was informed that a report detailing my responses would be forwarded to SEI for further evaluation.
- Could you tell me about yourself and walk me through your previous work experiences?
- What kind of projects do you find most appealing?
