The in-person interview took a few hours and included meetings with various colleagues and VP-level leaders. The discussions focused on my skills and included hypothetical scenarios about client situations or projects. They were also keen on my thoughts on industry trends. It felt as comfortable as a detailed interview could, and I gained respect for the SAI team's openness to different viewpoints and their willingness to share knowledge.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Challenging but it was worth it. After applying on the website, I got an email from the CEO with questions and I had to choose a certain number to answer. Then, I had to leave a sample sales voicemail on the CEO's phone (I'd venture to say that not all positions would have to do this, but I applied for sales development). After that, I had in-person, 1v1 interviews with 5 people. I could tell they were genuinely trying to get to know me to determine if it was a good fit, as opposed to just what my skills were. Clearly, with testing through the email questions, the VM, and the in-person interview, they are diligent about the type of people they hire to make sure the culture stays amazing.

I first had to complete an email assessment with 6 out of 10 questions. Then I had a phone interview where I was asked more questions about HTML, CSS, and SQL. The final stage was an in-person interview that lasted 2 hours with several people. The questions in this interview focused on web technologies, Java, and customer handling.

The interview process was quite straightforward. It began with an initial phone screen conducted by an external recruiter. Following that, I had interviews with internal team members, including the hiring manager, existing team members, and senior staff. It felt like SAI is a great place to work, and the management was focused on ensuring a good mutual fit between the candidate and the company, rather than just filling a vacant position.
