Analyst
It was a 2 stage process. First, there was a "good cop/bad cop" style interview where two ladies first talked to me about working there. Then, two guys came in who were rude and tried to make me uncomfortable to see how I handled pressure. If you get through that, the second stage was an interview with the MD.
- What's the probability of rolling a 6 on a single die?
- If two dice are rolled, what is the probability of getting at least one 3?
Employee Benefits Coordinator
Interviewed for the position and thought it went well. Was told I'd hear back about moving to the next interview step in about a week. Sent a follow-up email. Never heard back. Received an email 3 weeks later saying the interviewer had been out of town and that they had gone in another direction.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- What skills do you possess?
Administrative Assistant
I applied for a local job. The recruiter called after 4pm, and when I called back the next morning at 9:30am, she didn't call me until after 5pm to set up an interview. When I went to her office, I found out I was just there to be added to their agency roster after background checks, with no guarantee of interviews or offers. They didn't even promise to consider me for the job I applied for. I declined to provide my SSN, driver's license, and consent to background checks because there was very little incentive to be in their 'employ'. Maybe I would have considered it if they had said something like 'we place 7-10 people'. Also, the office staff didn't seem very professional.
- Have you previously worked with a staffing agency?
Project Administrator
I interviewed with the Senior Project Manager and Project Manager for the Information Systems Project Team. It was a 10 minute interview and I was offered the position immediately because I didn't get flustered trying to coordinate multiple calendars. It was interesting to hear about the project (a financial planning program) and how it would be used.
- Did I have a problem scheduling meetings for more than 10 people?
