First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Systech International.
Marketing
A few months back, I was contacted by an in-house recruiter for a marketing role at Systech. They reached out through LinkedIn, email, and left a few voicemails. We finally connected, and we did a phone screen call that ran over the scheduled time. The recruiter was really excited and said they'd talk to the hiring manager and get back to me. Two weeks went by, and I had to follow up. The recruiter then said they hadn't spoken to the hiring manager yet and would let me know. I never heard back from them again, which was a poor experience as a candidate.
- Can you tell me about your skills?
Global Account Manager
I got to learn a lot about the business from different departments at the Senior VP and Senior Director level at Systech during the interview. It was a straightforward process with 3 main interviews (a phone call, a meeting, and a video call), plus 2 extra calls that I think were mostly for my comfort to learn more about the business from a senior perspective. The Senior Director of Global Account Management, who would be my manager, and the Senior VP of Global Sales were really direct and open when I asked questions about the business and its processes. They made the interview process an enjoyable, back-and-forth experience, which was much appreciated. All in all, the interview process was smooth, enjoyable, and very informative.
- None that I can recall, though challenging questions are typical, so nothing stood out. Perhaps I was the one asking the most challenging questions about the business and management.
Project Engineer
I got contacted by Ajmal Amin, Talent Acquisition. He was nice and I could tell him all my needs and I asked him general questions about the company and the role I applied for. I felt like he understood me and I thought I could really contribute to the company's success. Later, I had a technical interview with the US Technical Director. He really understood my motivation and saw that I could fill the gap in my skills. I was supposed to have a final technical interview with the PJ engineer and PJ manager, but I cancelled it because I accepted another job offer.
- Tell me about your experience working with clients or suppliers.
- Are you familiar with SOPs?
- What's your experience with databases?
Senior Android Developer
It was a written test followed by a technical interview. The questions were pretty standard for an Android developer, focusing on work experience and technical knowledge. If you've got the basics of Android down, you should find it manageable.
- Can you explain the differences between an Activity and a Fragment?
- What distinguishes serialization from parcelable?
- Could you describe the lifecycle of an Activity?
