Got to the final stage of the interviews. I took a day off from my previous job to go to the Sysmex office for a half day of interviews with different department team members. They said I'd hear back within a week, and then ghosted me. It's been months now. It's so unprofessional, they also don't have pay transparency and wouldn't tell me the salary range for the job, even though I was in the final round (this was before the new year and new laws).

Field Service Engineer
I applied online and after about two weeks, the HR called me. It was a quick call asking if I lived locally. Then, my resume went to the district manager who interviewed me the following week. This interview was straightforward since I had the required skills like customer service and field service experience, and I was also in the right location. After that, my resume was passed to the regional manager. Another week went by, and the district manager called again. She went over the day-to-day tasks of a field engineer and asked more questions about customer service. Three weeks later, I had a final in-person interview with the district manager. This interview focused heavily on my past experience and customer service abilities. There were six of us competing for one spot. Two days after this final interview, I was offered the job, which I accepted.

Clinical Applications Specialist
So, I applied for this job in Virginia, right? But the posting didn't say I *had* to live there, just near a major airport, which I did. First up was this quick 15-minute HR call where they asked where I lived and my closest airport. I told them, not Virginia. Somehow, HR then passed me to the next stage, a panel interview, without mentioning anything about relocation or the location requirement. For this next step, I had to prep and give a 20-minute presentation on anything. I spent hours on it, then joined the Teams meeting right on time. The interviewers, all 5 of them, showed up late, over the next 10 minutes. I started my presentation, and around the 15-minute mark, they cut me off, saying I needed to hurry it up for the actual interview questions. Like, why schedule a 20-minute presentation if you can't let it run its course? They asked some behavioral questions, but it felt more technical, and near the end, they finally asked where I lived. Then it turns out the job is location-specific and I'd have to move. When I said I wasn't willing to relocate, they just shrugged it off. Total waste of time because they couldn't communicate. I dodged a bullet and got an offer from a competitor the next day.
- What can we do to waste as much of your time as humanly possible?
Administrative Assistant
First phase of interview before going forward within the interview process was through google I.M. chat. Interviewer asked for my age/sex, which is completely irrelevant to my qualifications. When I did not reveal my age, interviewer insisted I answer the question. Once I revealed my age, interviewer would not reply to me. Whole process took around 40 minutes. Complete waste of time and a complete joke.
