The interview had two main technical rounds, followed by an HR chat. The first round was technical, focusing on PHP, SQL, and Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). It heavily tested OOPs concepts using PHP, which was a bit of a challenge since I wasn't too familiar with its syntax. I did explain the concepts well, though. There were also some SQL questions and a basic DSA problem to solve using PHP. The interviewer was nice, and it was a good experience overall, but the language issue made it tough, and unfortunately, I didn't pass this round. It was still a useful learning opportunity.

It was a 5-round interview process. Started with 2 telephonic rounds with Senior Engineers, then 1 telephonic round with a Senior Manager, followed by 1 telephonic round with the CEO, and finally a full day onsite at their office. The interviews were mostly focused on my past work, and I ended up declining the offer because of inconsistencies and unprofessionalism. The role was advertised as Senior Engineer, but the offered role was completely different and not something a person with less than 8 years of experience would take seriously. They also misled me about salary expectations, offering much lower than discussed and claiming it was the agreed amount. The offer letter lacked details on salary breakdown and stock options, with vague terms like 'adjustable' and shares represented by a number without a clear value. I was given a 2-day ultimatum to accept, despite being told they don't work weekends, a senior person mentioned working on a Saturday. They asked me to travel to Bangalore for a full day, only to provide a low offer. It felt like they view employees as expendable, looking for someone desperate, especially since it's their third batch of engineers. They did clearly state they have significant technical debt that needs clearing, which is why they were hiring.

They called me to the office for an interview. The process began with a short coding assignment. After that, a senior engineer asked me about my open-source projects and Ruby concepts, such as metaprogramming. The final round was with the CEO, where we discussed company culture and salary. He mentioned he'd send an offer the following week, but I haven't heard back or received a reply to my emails, making me suspect an interview scam.
