My interview experience with Synthesia was great! The process was super clear and communicative throughout. I always knew what was coming up next, and they let me know about timelines and what to expect proactively. It did take a few weeks, partly because of the holidays, but they stayed in touch and were responsive, which was awesome. A really cool thing was getting to meet different people on the team multiple times. It didn't feel rushed at all. Talking with various team members (and sometimes the same ones again) gave me a solid grasp of the company, the job, and the vibe. It also showed me they really think about their hiring decisions. All in all, it felt professional, organized, and really welcoming. Left me with a strong impression of the company and the people.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was really organized and moved fast, with clear communication. It started with a recruiter chat about my background and why I wanted to join Synthesia. Then, I had a hiring manager interview where we talked more about my CS experience, and how I handle client strategy, getting clients to see value, and keeping them. After that, I met with the CRO to discuss the company's direction and my methods for managing client relationships. The last part was a practical exercise: I prepared and gave a short presentation about a fake client to show how I'd handle discovery, push for adoption, and spot chances for growth. The whole experience felt personal and matched Synthesia's vibe – creative, forward-thinking, and focused on results. Each stage made sense, and they were upfront about what they expected and the timelines. I even got the job offer just 5 minutes after finishing the presentation, which was awesome.

I had an initial call with a Talent Acquisition Partner over Google Meet. The questions were typical for a customer success role, and I felt good about the conversation. They mentioned they'd follow up within 48 hours about next steps and aim to schedule a second round by the end of the week. They also said they'd send info to set up a candidate portal account for tracking. The week ended with no update, so I emailed them. Another week went by, still no update. After two weeks, and with no response to multiple follow-up emails, I finally got a random email from a no-reply address after a whole month. It said they enjoyed our conversation but weren't selecting me for further consideration. This makes me think they're disorganized and lose track of candidates after talking to them. This kind of oversight wastes time and hurts their candidate experience reputation. They should really rethink how they communicate after interviews.
