I found the job on Monster and sent in my resume and cover letter. A few days later, an HR rep contacted me to chat about my career goals and a role they needed to fill. They were very open about the job details, like hours, pay, and potential growth. Next, I had a group interview with the team I'd be working with. It was pretty relaxed, but I heard it can differ depending on the team. The office vibe really changes by account/team, and it's generally not a very social or young environment. The office space is open and modern, but there's no lounge and the kitchen is just okay. They have a gym and showers, but it's not great and lacks equipment. The whole process was super straightforward, and I got a formal offer within a week of the interview. Definitely try to negotiate your salary, though.

I applied online and got a call/email from a Senior VP about a week later. We talked that day and scheduled a phone interview where she asked about my qualifications and how they matched the role. Then we set up an in-person interview. I got an email with the list of people I'd meet and their roles, which was helpful. The in-person interview was really fun, the team was great and easy to talk to, very candid and enjoyable. I was told I'd hear back in about a week. A week passed, and a few days later I got the offer. I really liked their hiring approach, it felt personable from the start, unlike other research firms where I felt like just a number.

I initially met with 2 managers for a sampling analyst position. They offered me the job but said I was overqualified and recommended I apply for a better position. After interviewing for the better position, I never heard back from anyone at Synovate. I followed up on 3 occasions with HR, and all the individuals I interviewed with, but it was like they abruptly black listed me. I found the whole process to be highly unprofessional and rather embarrassing for their organizational structure.

I was interviewing for a new VP role that was a great fit for my skills. It started with an HR screen, followed by an interview with the SVP. I had multiple phone conversations with the SVP, and we really connected on how I could contribute to the new department. He then arranged for me to meet his counterpart and the President. After that, I had to fill out an application. Hiring was planned for the next quarter due to budget, but the company was acquired by IPSOS, putting everything on hold. Despite assurances that I was a good fit, the merger caused uncertainty. While the initial interviews were positive, the post-merger silence and lack of communication left me hanging, so I moved on. The company culture seemed a bit fragmented, with limited inter-departmental interaction, which the SVP's new role aimed to address. Some individuals seemed apprehensive about the new position, viewing it as a potential encroachment on their territory or control.
