The whole process is straightforward, with about 4 to 5 rounds. You'll start with HR, then the manager, a team member, and finally the head of the department will interview you. It's simple and direct. Being good with emails, communication, negotiation, Excel, and MS Office is a plus.

Behavioral Technical Coding

First, I sent in my resume and cover letter through the DataTech Solutions website. I made sure to highlight my data analysis skills, SQL and Python knowledge, and projects showing how I can get insights from data. Then, an HR person emailed me to set up a 30-minute phone chat. We talked about my background, why I want this Data Analyst job, and what I know about DataTech. She also asked about tools I've used and when I could start. A few days after that, I got a technical test to finish in a week. It had parts about using SQL to get and change data, doing EDA with Python (cleaning, stats, visuals), and interpreting the results to give insights and suggestions. I emailed it back. After I passed the test, I had a technical interview with two senior Data Analysts over Zoom for about an hour. They wanted me to talk about my test answers, how I'd solve a data problem, do a live SQL and Python coding task, and answer questions on stats and handling missing data. Lastly, I had a behavioral interview with the hiring manager and a teammate. This was about my past jobs and how they fit the role, tricky situations like deadlines and teamwork, and my career plans and why DataTech.

It was good, nothing advanced, just basic questions about my experience, expectations for work culture, company values, and income. The interviewers were friendly and cooperative. I mentioned my four years of experience in retail and how that gives me first-hand experience fielding shoppers' questions, feedback, and complaints. I know what customers want and what it takes to create a positive consumer experience through marketing.
