Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Symetra.
Analyst
It started with a phone interview, and then an on-site interview with the hiring manager and other people from the team. Everyone was friendly and professional. They didn't ask a lot of technical stuff; they just wanted you to be yourself and be confident, which seemed to help things move forward.
- What are your goals?
Analyst
It was a three-step interview process. First HR screening, then I met with the hiring manager. The last two rounds were interview panels. After the last interview, I was ghosted. Also, the salary range posted for the role is not accurate, the hiring manager already has a set number in mind.
- Were there technical and behavioral questions asked about the role?
Analyst
The interview process kicked off with a quick HR screening. HR was really helpful and clear throughout, making scheduling easy. The interviewers were nice and professional, and mostly asked about past work experiences, how I handle problems, and my ability to juggle tasks and prioritize.
- Can you share an instance where you led multiple projects simultaneously and how you successfully met their objectives?
