First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Symantec.
Intern
I interviewed for an innovation-focused role at Symantec. The process was pretty straightforward—starting with a recruiter screen, then a few conversational rounds with hiring managers and team members. The questions were more about mindset, creativity, and cross-functional collaboration than deep technical skills. Overall, it felt more like a mutual fit conversation than a test.
- Can you share an instance where you recognized an unmet customer need and what actions you took?
- Tell me about an experience where you challenged the existing norms within your organization.
Intern
There were 3 rounds in total. First, an online assessment was given. Then, there were 2 more in-person technical rounds. So, it was 1. Online Assessment. 2. 2 Technical Rounds.
- Questions about Databases and Object Oriented Programming.
Intern
The internship process went smoothly and I joined during the school year. I learned a lot overall. Your experience really depends on your manager and their guidance. Fortunately, my manager was great!
- Can you describe your work ethic?
