I haven't had the interview yet, but it's scheduled for a few days from now, on Monday. I'm wondering if this company is the best fit for me. I've heard they have a 4-day work week, and also heard that they don't go home every day, which has me a little confused. Any information would be helpful.

Sygma's career site is pretty slick; it lets you save your resume and info, so you only have to do the application (which takes about an hour) once. I applied for Driver Helper ages ago but didn't hear back for an interview. The site says your info stays active for 6 months, then you gotta resubmit. About a week after I reapplied, a Sygma HR person called me in. The interview was on-site, lasted half an hour in a conference room with an HR manager and the local safety/transportation manager. They asked me about 4-6 questions directly about the job, and the rest was just them explaining job details, requirements, benefits, and safety rules (super important for them). We both asked questions, and then they offered me the job. I accepted verbally, then went to HR to sign the official offer, which covered pay, pre-employment stuff (background check, job history check, drug/alcohol test), direct deposit setup, and work eligibility proof. I'm really happy with how it all went down, and Sygma seems like a great company.

The interview process was fair. It started with a phone call, then an interview with the HR manager. After that, it was with the department manager, and finally, the GM if you passed the earlier stages. I was told there were several applicants, including some internal ones, and the pool would be narrowed down to the top 3 for the general manager's interview before the final decision. The process felt long, but it wasn't too bad.

I had a great phone chat with a recruiter and then a fantastic Zoom interview with the HR Director. After that, there was a panel interview with two impressive people who asked some predictable questions. Then, it was radio silence for four weeks! Finally, I got an automated rejection after I emailed to check on my status. It was a really disappointing and humbling experience with this company.
