First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Switchfly.
Product Owner
The first interview was with another product manager and it went really well. The second round was 30 minutes with the Director of Software Engineering. He spent about 15 minutes talking about the company and the role. I was barely asked anything. It seemed like the recruiter asked me more technical questions than the Director of Software. The first round went really well. It seems like the second round was just a formality and they had already decided not to proceed with me. I got a rejection email about an hour after the interview. The interviewer also seemed quite distracted during the video call.

Strategic Account Manager
The interview process started with a phone screening by HR. Then, there were telephone interviews with members of the account management team. Following that, I had Skype interviews with senior managers, directors, and even the COO. The whole thing stretched over two months, with most of that time spent waiting for the final offer. It ended with an offer that was only good for 72 hours. I tried to get more time to decide and a salary closer to what Glassdoor showed for the role, but they came back with another offer that expired in 24 hours and no change in salary. HR mentioned the finance department as the reason for the really short decision window.

Applications Administrator
The interviews themselves went pretty well, I really clicked with the first interviewer, and even though I didn't connect as much with the second guy, it was still a good conversation. The application process itself was a bit confusing though, as there were two job postings for what seemed like the exact same role, but with different titles and pay rates. When I asked about salary, nobody seemed to have a clear answer, which made the conversation a little awkward when I also asked about the next steps. The second interviewer also hit me with some technical networking questions that didn't really seem relevant to the Applications Administrator job. Overall though, the team seemed like a good group of people. I didn't hear back for about three weeks, even though I thought the interviews went great. Eventually, I got an email saying they had decided to hire someone else.

Technical Client Services Manager
I applied online and soon got scheduled with a phone screen with the Director of HR. That led to a more technical phone call with the hiring manager. A few days later, they invited me over for an on-site interview, with include a 15-45 min 1:1 chat with a team member, the hiring manager, an SAM, VP of Sales, and the Director of HR. The on-site was long, but very informative. Everyone I've met was very nice and patient to answer my questions. Their company has an interesting process - that everyone who have met the candidates would sit down together and discuss about their impressions of the candidates and to pick the one as a group. It definitely seems like they are very careful and serious about hiring for the company. A few days later, they told me that they had decided to go with another candidate with more experiences. And the Director of HR was super helpful to provide feedback on my performance. But the only confusing part of this was that, only about 2 or 3 weeks after receiving a No from them, I saw that they have posted the same job opening again online. So it's very hard to tell whether they did hire the person or not.
