I did a take-home project about a week before Christmas. It took me 3 weeks to hear back, so I emailed them. They said a system had changed but they still wanted to do a phone interview. The phone interview was 20 minutes and the interviewer liked me and scheduled a video interview for the next day. In that interview, they asked me Java questions even though the job was for JavaScript and I told them I wasn't as familiar. They still seemed happy. I didn't hear back, so I emailed two weeks later. They said they weren't moving forward with my application and could have just emailed me that instead of making me follow up.
