It was a technical interview with the Lead Developer. They asked me about the basics of Java, Spring Boot, and Angular. I also had to connect these concepts to my previous projects and explain them in detail. I felt like I answered most questions well.

The HR and Network Automation Managment team employees at SWIFT are a disgrace and undervalue the company's crucial work. I was told I'd interview with the hiring manager, but instead, 5 senior managers interviewed me for a junior role. They lacked an agenda, asking random questions reflecting their own problems. Project details were scarce until I asked at the end, and even then, they had a vague idea of future projects. One interviewer's kids were screaming, another joined from home and wasn't present when asked to contribute. You'll code on a whiteboard. The interview lasted 2 hours. I was promised a response in a week, but follow-ups led to 'next week' for over 40 days, until a system email stated I wasn't selected, with the recruiter ignoring my final email.

Had a Java test, then a quick technical interview, then met with the manager, and finally their boss. After 3.5 months of their recruiters dragging their feet and telling me lies to keep me waiting, they gave me a bad offer that was lower than what I already turned down. I can't believe how incompetent their recruitment team is. Seriously, how do they expect to get good people with this attitude? At least they made it easy for me to say no.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you elaborate on Java language specifics?
  • How does multithreading work in Java?
  • What are your thoughts on security and encryption?
