First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sweetser.
HR Generalist
I was initially contacted by the Director. Then, a Generalist reached out for a phone screen. My first interview was with the Director. She asked structured questions and took notes on her computer as I spoke. The communication with the Director was a bit challenging; she reached out initially but then went quiet for over a week, and this pattern continued throughout the interview process. More consistent communication would have been appreciated.
- Tell me about yourself.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Why are you interested in this role?
Yfc
This was a really detailed interview, with a lot of scenarios. It felt like they were trying to see what kind of presence you bring to the job. The interviewers were nice and understood that the questions could be tough. They also let me ask some specific questions without getting into anything HIPAA-related.
- Describe how you would manage a client who is being loud, using curse words, and acting aggressively.
Accounts Manager
I was given a set of questionnaires to complete within a certain timeframe. They covered topics like sales, purchases, GST, hire purchases, bank reconciliation, supplier reconciliation, and FRS.
- A technical question concerning accounting principles was posed.
Youth and Family Counselor
You're presented with a lot of different scenarios and asked how you would react. The people were laid back, making it easy to keep things light.
- Would you be comfortable working alongside an individual who has a history of sexual harassment offenses?
