First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sweet & Sassy.
Operario - Maquinista
Party Coordinator
I applied in person for the job and got a call back about a week and a half later. The following week, I went in for a group interview with three other people. The manager introduced herself, and then we all introduced ourselves because we were all high school students. They showed us three hairstyles on a worker: the rockstar, princess bun, and fairy. It's important to know how to braid beforehand. After that, they brought us to the stage and we danced to one song, which mainly involved jumping around, screaming, and dancing energetically. The whole process took about 1.5 to 2 hours. Three of the four of us were offered the job. I started working about three to four weeks after applying because I needed a work permit.
- Do you have braiding skills?
Party Coordinator
I walked in back in January to see if they were hiring and filled out an application. My friend called March 1st and they told her they had open interviews that Tuesday and Thursday. I called to confirm and they took my name. I went in that Tuesday and had to fill out another application because they misplaced my first one. I waited in the pedicure area until it was my turn to interview. The interviewer and I walked to the front of the store and started the interview. At the end, she told me I'd hear back by Sunday via call or email. I got a call Friday saying I got the job and to be ready for training.
- What makes you feel this role is a good fit for you?
Party Coordinator
I picked up an application at the store and turned it in to a sales associate the next day. The manager called me the day after that to set up an interview. I went in, and two assistant managers took me to a separate room where they asked me some questions. They then offered me the job, gave me a shirt, and told me to start the next weekend. It was a simple interview. I'd suggest making a resume.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in this position?
- What are your available working hours?
- What skills do you possess that would make you a suitable candidate for this role?
