First, I had a quick 15-20 min phone call with a recruiter who asked me some general screening questions about my experience. The next day, I got an email inviting me for an in-person interview the following week. The in-person interview was with three people and was actually easier than I thought it would be. It went for an hour, but it didn't really feel that long. I was expecting typical, rehearsed questions, but most of the questions were actually very specific to my education and experience related to the job. The interviewers were really nice and I felt pretty comfortable, considering it was an interview.

The initial phone interview was over 30 minutes long and involved speaking with HR about the role. I was asked many technical and some behavioral questions. When I mentioned wanting a managerial position in 5 years, HR indicated that advancement opportunities are very limited, suggesting roles rarely change unless someone leaves. The overall impression was a small office environment with little potential for growth or career progression. The salary offer was significantly lower than the industry standard.

I went through several interview rounds, including a panel interview. The interview structure wasn't great, and I felt the senior interviewers lacked hiring experience. After the panel interview, they went quiet. I reached out to the recruiter a couple of weeks later but got no reply. It's been months of silence since then. I was surprised SWCA ghosted candidates after multiple interview rounds. It's a reminder that candidates spend hours on your process, and the least you can do is communicate.

A recruiter from SWCA reached out to me, and I was intrigued by the call. They had a good grasp of my professional background. We then set up a phone screen, which made me quite optimistic. The company seemed promising and offered a potentially great career move. Following that, I had interviews with several colleagues and my potential supervisor. The recruiter kept in touch periodically to check on my job search progress.
