Product Manager
I had a phone screen with a principal PM, who was nice and asked about product success metrics and target demographics. Then I went to the office and met with an engineering manager, the hiring manager, the head of content, and a couple of PMs. They mostly asked about project prioritization and how I'd tackle CMS problems since it's a content systems PM role. Each meeting was super quick, only half an hour. The whole process was fast, and I always heard back about what was next pretty quickly.
- What are the key metrics to measure the success of a product?
- Who would be the target audience for this product?
- How would you go about prioritizing different projects?
Product Manager
HR called me and I went to the office for a F2F meeting with the hiring manager. We had a great chat and they told me a lot about the role. Then I met with my future manager, who is also a hiring manager, and talked about my past experiences. After that, an experienced product manager asked me product sense and root cause questions. Then, an experienced designer and I discussed cross-functional collaboration and my approach. The last round was with the director of product, focusing on cultural fit.
- Tell me about your favorite product and how you would improve it.
Product Manager
So, for this role, there are about 3 to 4 rounds in total. First, there's an HR Round which lasts for 30 minutes. Then, you'll meet with the Hiring Manager for about an hour. After that, it's a 1-hour session with the VP of Product Management, and finally, a 30-minute chat with the Engineering Manager.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What are your qualifications for this position?
- Describe a significant accomplishment.
