The interview process was compressed into two days and had three interviews. The hiring manager interviews were mostly spent discussing the poor condition of the office, its employees, and the disrepair I would need to manage. I was assured that I would get an offer by the following Monday to start the Wednesday after, which another manager reiterated in the final interview. When Monday passed without word, I emailed both managers, but received no response. On Wednesday, I contacted the initial recruiter, who stated she would speak with the hiring manager, and then sent me a generic rejection message. This company's disorganization and unprofessionalism are evident, and their Glassdoor reviews confirm this. I strongly advise avoiding them.

The interview was pretty standard and quite short. They asked about my background and how I'd handle specific situations, along with my school schedule. I was also asked about my accounts payable experience and my learning speed. They said I'd hear back by early the next week. I followed up on Thursday because I hadn't heard anything, and they said I'd get a response 'early on Friday.' It's now been another week with no response, and they didn't specify which Friday.

First, I got a call from a recruiter who then asked me to call someone else, but they didn't give me the area code for their state, so I had to do some digging to even make the call back. I ended up calling 3 times and leaving a message before my call was returned, which took almost a week. After a brief phone screen, I was set up for an in-person interview with the hiring manager. When I got to the office, the hiring manager had actually forgotten about our scheduled interview. The interview itself was pretty standard. They asked about my past experience and my motivation for wanting the job. They also made a comment about possibly needing to 'color outside the lines.' They mentioned that people with an HR background sometimes struggle in this role, which, given other reviews I've seen, felt like a bit of a red flag. I did get an offer, but they only gave me one day to decide, so I declined.

I was contacted by Christine, a recruiter, on LinkedIn. We had a 30 minute phone chat. About a week later, I went in for an in-person interview with Christine and the graphic designer. Two weeks after that, I got the offer. I asked for some time to consider because I had another interview lined up. I ended up taking the other offer, but Christine and Surge were really cool about it, giving me the time I needed to decide. Overall, it was a good interview experience!
