Behavioral Coding

So I had a super quick chat with the recruiter, like 5 mins, then 30 mins with the hiring manager. After that, I spent about 2.5 hours with some of the tech folks. The questions weren't too rough, actually. For the manager chat, I got asked about matrix multiplication and how I'd code it up. Then, the tech team had this pre-made coding thing for me to fill out, and the task felt like something I'd actually do on the job. The whole thing was crazy fast for me since they fast-tracked me due to my situation, and I got a verbal offer within a week. That's where it went south though. They said I'd get a call the next day to sort out the details, but it never happened. I followed up and they were like, 'oh, some miscommunication, it'll take longer to figure out.' I'm not sure if they're just blowing smoke while pulling the offer, or if someone screwed up and I shouldn't have gotten the verbal offer in the first place. It really sucked because I'd already turned down other offers after the verbal one. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

They were super responsive at first and the interview process moved fast. After my third interview with the CEO, they said I'd hear back in a week. A week later, I was told they were still interviewing. Kinda strange for the final round, but whatever. Another week went by and HR wouldn't give me any timelines or real info. That same week, I saw a LinkedIn job post for the exact same title, but the job description was totally different. The new description basically matched what the CEO and I talked about. I guess they realized they needed something more specific for this role. Instead of just telling me that, they clammed up. I don't even care that they figured out they wanted a different profile. It happens. What was NOT cool was not being honest about the change and then ghosting me. It seems like a cool company doing good work, but this whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth.

Behavioral Technical

I interviewed for this role back in Oct 2020. The whole thing took about 5 weeks, and every interview had behavioral/cultural questions mixed with technical ones. Everyone was super nice, which I guess says something about their work culture. It started with an intro meeting with an Engineer where they asked general stuff about my coding background and some technical questions about problem-solving approaches. Then, I waited a week. By the third week, I had two more interviews with engineers asking similar questions, followed by interviews with a product manager and HR. Another week went by with no word. The fifth week involved a final interview with the Director of Engineering, and I got rejected by the end of that week. The process felt pretty slow, with a full week between rounds and no updates on what was next (maybe I was a backup?). So, heads up, you might be waiting anxiously.

Behavioral Technical

The recruiter was prompt and flexible for scheduling the initial screening. Following that, I received Zoom invitations for the hiring manager interview without prior discussion of the interview or my availability, though the hiring manager was pleasant and professional. Subsequent interview rounds also involved Zoom invites without any coordination regarding my availability, and the interviewers were professional. However, midway through the second round, I received unexplained cancellation notices, which felt like an unprofessional and harsh rejection.
