Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Superhuman.
Recruiter
The second round was a full exercise where they wanted me to help with the job description, intake questions, sourcing strategy, interview plan, and sourcing 3-5 candidates for a role they are currently recruiting for. Then, they gave vague feedback that seemed like it could be used for anyone. On the plus side, feedback was fast, they provided a helpful candidate guide, and the recruiter was very nice. But, they used candidates for free consulting work, which I heard before and confirmed it's true! The exercise had vague expectations but clear instructions.
- Could you tell me about the types of roles you've previously recruited for?
- What are your career aspirations and what are you seeking in a new opportunity?
- What motivates your interest in this particular role?
Recruiter
I had a really good experience with this company, from applying all the way to getting rejected. They were super quick to let me know if I passed or failed each stage, and when they rejected me, they gave me clear feedback that made sense based on my own experience. I also liked that they included interview prep tips in the confirmation email. These things really make a difference in how a candidate feels and show that they've really thought about their recruiting process!
- What are the general types of questions asked in a first interview?
Senior Recruiter
I applied online and then I got invited to talk to the Senior Manager of Talent. Then I moved on to talk to the Head of People. The scheduling team was a bit messy, but we eventually figured out a time.
