I applied online and heard back right away. The first interview was with HR, and it went well. Then, I had a 15-minute interview with the Director of RA. He asked very few questions before ending the interview because he had many others to conduct that day. I was quite disappointed, but perhaps it was for the best.

I liked the hiring manager. Then I talked to the Senior Designer for my second interview, she seemed a bit reserved but her portfolio clearly showed her talent. I was keen on the job, but they were looking for someone with 6 years of experience and the salary offer was at most 65K for this hybrid role... like, do they expect you to live on the street? When I asked about the salary, the Head of People said she would check on a higher salary, but I never got any response about that from either interviewer. There was no follow-up at all after either interview, and then I saw they reposted the job listing.

My experience with Supergoop initially felt promising. The conversations went well and HR communicated effectively. But after a bunch of interviews, I heard nothing back even though I followed up. Looking back, it was a good thing because their disorganization suggested a bad culture that would have stopped my growth. I'm glad they ghosted me because I found a job with better pay and a much better work environment. Any company that can't communicate well is a red flag, and it makes sense why people leave.
