I applied directly on the Super.com website. My interview process involved a phone screening, a few live coding exercises, a team fit interview, and a technical discussion interview. The recruiter for my initial phone screening had clearly reviewed my resume and was very familiar with it, which was a nice change from the usual automated rejections. They were upfront with their answers, which I appreciated. Interviews were scheduled promptly, and the hiring team was responsive and accommodating to my schedule. Many interviews ran over the allotted time because the discussions were so engaging, and I always left with a positive impression. While I sometimes doubted my performance on the coding exercises, the interviewers didn't give any indication of concern, so I'd advise future candidates to prepare well, think out loud, and not be overly critical of themselves. Each coding exercise allowed for a back-and-forth question period, which was a good experience. I had to withdraw from the pipeline due to personal reasons, but they welcomed me back enthusiastically when I reapplied later. My experience working here has been as positive and welcoming as the interview process suggested, with interesting and challenging work.

I first tried reaching out to a couple of HR folks but didn't hear back. So I ended up contacting the VP at Snapcommerce directly, who was really nice and passed my application along immediately. The next day, I got an email. The interview process itself was pretty straightforward: first, there were two easy LeetCode problems on CoderByte (Buy/Sell and parse command), then a CoderPad live assessment with more easy questions, like writing a function to distribute users evenly into n buckets. After about a week and a few follow-ups, I got a rejection saying they were looking for a different profile. Overall, it was a slow and pretty average interview experience.

I applied online for a different position, a month later, got contacted for a similar role. The interview process consisted of 3 rounds. First, an initial 30-minute call with the recruiter to go over my career and future goals. Then, a 10-minute critical thinking test from a third-party company, which felt like an IQ test and didn't provide results. Lastly, a 90-minute interview with the Hiring Manager, including career questions, technical questions, and a screen-sharing task to build a React app.
