The interview was quick and to the point. They asked some basic questions and also some situational and behavioral ones. They wanted to know my start date and availability, as they're looking for someone who can begin soon and work any of the three shifts.

Saw an ad on Craigslist for a front desk agent/clerk. Sent my resume and heard back from the owner lady about a week later. Met with her, and it was more like an awkward first date than an interview. After 30 minutes, I filled out a background authorization and left. Played phone tag for about a week before getting scheduled to meet with the GM. That interview was about 5 minutes and I could tell it didn't go as well as the first meeting. Three weeks after my initial email, I still hadn't heard anything, with excuses about computer upgrades. I've since found a better job.

I applied in person and got a call the next day for an interview. The interview was pretty long and the manager asked a lot of questions. During the interview, he stepped out for a bit to show a cleaner how to clean a room, then he returned to finish up. I thought I had the job because he told me at the end that he thought I was a great candidate and would call me back that week to schedule training. However, he never called, and when I called him, he said he didn't recall interviewing me and that I must have the wrong number.

I applied and then I had an interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager looked over my resume and asked if I have any previous experience working for hotels or the franchise. The manager preferred previous experience since you had to be well acquainted with the hotel software to do everyday functions.
