First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sunsational Swim School.
Swim Instructor
The interview process was super fast and smooth. They threw some situational questions at me, basically asking how I'd deal with common stuff that comes up when teaching. It was all about effective methods and real examples.
- What's your approach to assisting a student who's scared to enter the water?
Customer Service Representative
The interview process was pretty straightforward. The office itself was a pleasant place to be, and everyone working there seemed friendly. I ended up getting a job offer, which I accepted. However, the offer was conditional upon successfully passing a background check and a reference check. I went ahead and approved the background check, and it cleared without any issues. Following that, I sent three separate emails providing the names and contact details of my references. Even though they have confirmation that these emails were received on their end, I later got an email stating that I hadn't responded to their request for references, and as a result, my job offer was withdrawn. My advice to others is to perhaps not even bother applying here. Good communication is crucial in any professional setting, and while the people there are genuinely nice and I do wish them well, their communication skills could definitely be better. I wouldn't recommend working here until they make improvements in that area.
- How do you approach managing your time effectively?
Swim Instructor
It was a really quick interview, felt a bit impersonal. They basically wanted to know about my basic skills and if I'd taught swim lessons before. They made it clear upfront that there wouldn't be any training and I'd be pretty much on my own.
- Tell me about your experience teaching swim lessons.
- How would you deal with emergencies or problems?
Swim Coach
The interview was pretty fast and simple. It felt a bit hurried, but they were likely busy and the interviewer was pleasant. I liked the positive comments they made about my resume. It was also great that they laid out the hiring steps clearly.
- How would you handle emergency scenarios?
